Rachel is a self-described workaholic who has an addiction to writing, caffeine and hair dye.
She loves listening to loud, angry music whilst sipping a good cuppa. She plays electric guitar but can also speak decent German and Spanish. She walks around her small hometown dressed inappropriately to shock pensioners when it gets boring. Basically, she doesn’t like to be too straightforward.
Since 2006, she has worked with many publications including: Sugarscape.co.uk, Style Sample, Company, The Daily Echo, Teen Ink and The Young Writers’ Yearbook. She was a winner of Sugar Magazine’s ‘Teen Power’ competition in 2010, which was set up to seek out young talent in journalism. She has also had the honour of reporting at London Fashion Week and accidently wandering into London’s Elle magazine offices. She joined the British Style Bloggers team in May 2011.
Before fashion, Rachel was (and still is) an author and poet. She has also contributed her poetry and short stories to 14 books, both in the UK and USA, been a national finalist in the UK talent search Poetry Rivals and was longlisted for the Christopher Tower Poetry Prize in 2011.
Currently, she is on the Marketing Team and is an After-Party Co-ordinator at Winchester Fashion Week 2012, after holding a position as a Journalist there the year previously.
